Henry Ford II

Henry Ford II (1917-1987) was the eldest son of Edsel and Eleanor Clay Ford and the eldest grandson of Henry and Clara Bryant Ford. Pictured here in his naval uniform on September 8, 1941, he was released from active duty by the Navy after his father’s death in 1943 so that he could re-join the Ford Motor Company. He took over leadership of Ford in 1945 and continued as president or director until 1979.
