Automation at Brook Park

In 1952, the Ford News Bureau reported:

The "complex stalls and runways [are] a unique part of the 'automation' system installed in Ford Motor Company's new engine plant at Cleveland, today's nearest approach to a fully-automated plant in the automotive industry."

In this article from the Cleveland Ford News in October, 1953, Ford Vice-President Ray Sullivan argues that automation will create more jobs and will make existing jobs easier, more pleasant, and more interesting.
