Virginia Scharff
Virginia Scharff is Professor of History at the University of New Mexico. Her publications include Taking the Wheel: Women and the Coming of the Motor Age (New York: Free Press, 1991), Twenty Thousand Roads: Women, Movement, and the West (Berkeley: University of California Press, 2003), and, with Michael Schaller and Robert D. Schulzinger, Coming of Age: America in the Twentieth Century (Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1998).
