Martin Melosi
Martin Melosi is Distinguished University Professor of History and Director of the Institute for Public History at the University of Houston. His publications include Effluent America: Cities, Industry, Energy, and the Environment (Pittsburgh: University of Pittsburgh Press, 2001) and Coping with Abundance: Energy and Environment in Industrial America (New York: Alfred Knopf, 1985). He is currently working on The Networked City, a study of energy, transportation, and communication systems in the United States.
